REVLON nearly naked quick review!

I was super excited when last week a found in Manor (the local department store here in Geneva) that the Naked line from Revlon had finally arrived!! and I was even more excited when I saw the price tag: only 17 CHF!! (around 15$)

Well, I guess "only" sounds a bit ironic comparing to the price tag at the States but considering than Revlon products are most of the time highly over priced here, I can't complain.

I picked up the powder in 020 light. I would call this shade more like medium because it's pretty dark. However while it adds a slight hint of color to my skin, it remains quite natural and not that off on me.

The texture is quite creamy and I find it adds a nice amount of coverage to the skin. So it's perfect if you decide to combined with a tinted moisturizer or a light BB cream.

The effect on the skin is matt but natural and stays pretty well during the day. You can lightly dust it on the skin or apply it with a thicker brush and padding motions for extra coverage.

Over all is a great powder! I didn't get the foundation because a) i didn't really find my shade and b) I have way too many foundations!!

Have you already tried this powder? What do you think about it?

Thank you very much for stopping by!

My blog will go through a huge makeover soon and I hope this helps me to get in track with my posts because I have lots of news and exciting products to talk you about!

Naked 2 vs. Undress me too palette - REVIEW

Probably you've heard this before but the NAKED 2 palette is probably my favourite neutral palette of all time. I believe I have featured it in a few of my videos.

What happens when your favourite low cost brand comes out with an almost exact dupe?
You scream of excitement "UNDRESSED ME TOO"!! (after all you have to undressed to be naked... =P)

Yeah, bad joke there...but today I'm going to be comparing the Naked 2 palette with this palette from MUA called UNDRESSED ME TOO.

In a previous post I compared the original Naked with MUA's Undressed and I gave my opinion on MUA's eyeshadows in general. Click here for that =)

The first thing I would say when I look at both of them is that both are extremely similar- minus size and packaging of course.

Now, let's take a look at the eyeshadows.

Probably the best hair care regime ever!

Back in August I did a review on my favourite products to style/take care of my hair once I'm out of the shower from the brand Naked Body care (UK brand).

If you missed that post, do a favour to your hair and check it out here because those products are amazing!

Today, I'm going to be talking about some products of the same brand but this time to use in the shower. I hesitate to call this post "Hair products I've used up" because I am completely out of them, but I'm not lying when I say that this brand is probably the best out there for your hair. At least for mine it is.

Now into the review.

NAKED renew Strengthening Shampoo
for weak, brittle & mature hair
with hibiscus & frangipani

What the brand says: Rapunzel was no wimp! Her hair was strong enough to set her free. We can’t promise you a prince charming but we’ve harnessed the power of hibiscus flower and extracts of frangipani to rescue your hair in this renewing shampoo. Containing vegetable proteins it’s unstoppable in its mission to fortify brittle hair from within, a wish come true for weak or mature hair.  Because your hair deserves the kindest treatment of all we don’t use harsh detergents – only gentle plant based ingredients. Vegetarian and vegan friendly.

My opinion: I love this product!!it has a strong floral sweet slightly fruity smell that is irresistible. It doesn't get really foamy, specially in the first wash but it is a matter of getting used to it. I like to leave in my shampoo for like a minute and this way is more effective. The results were clean (until 4-5 days), shiny, voluminous and bouncy hair! I believe it also contribute to the definition of my wavy/curly hair and my hair fell less.

NAKED bounce Curl defining conditioner
for curly, wavy hair
with kelp & avocado oil

What the brand says: For perfect curls and waves that bounce when you walk you need to look after your scalp (and have the right shoes!). We use Irishmoss, Sea fennel and mineral rich Kelp which is reputed to boost natural repair. Avocado oil will lovingly moisturise those tresses, and without petrochemical residue build up you'll be kissing those curls and riding those waves. Vegetarian and vegan friendly.

My opinion: This product has a strong floraly smell that I didn't really like much at first since I prefer sweet/fruity smells, but it is nice nonetheless. My hair felt really hydrated after using it and the hydration was still there 2-3 days after washing. It'd be amazing if they had for this range a deep conditioning mask, which I find always to be more effective in that department. Most important, using this product with the shampoo above, my curls were so incredibly define that it looked like if I had curled my hair with an iron!People used to asked me what I had donde to my hair. It is still effective with other shampoos but I got the best results with the one above. I can't wait to try the shampoo of this bounce range and see what it does to my hair!

Last but no least...
NAKED for kids 2 in 1 shampoo
Toffe Apple

What the brand says: Don’t tear your hair out! Let Naked look after your kids and give them clean, healthy hair without the hassle! Our fabulous tear free 2 in 1 shampoo means your little rascals get lovely soft hair after just one wash. Our gentle formulations mean that even if your kids can be little monsters, you won’t be putting any nasties in their hair. For extra fun, we added the scent of toffee apples. Fruity goodness smothered in tooth-tingling toffee – what could be better? Vegetarian and vegan friendly.

My opinion: This shampoo smells exactly as its name suggest. It's a dream to apply and hair is left soft and easy to manage. I would really recommend it for kids or for anyone! However it didn't work as well for me in the "curl definition" department, so I don't think I would use it any time to soon.

I'm completely in love with this brand. I wish I could buy it here because I'm not a huge fan of internet shopping and waitting for the order to arrive, but hey good news!! at least they do international shipping and the prize is cute reasonable. As soon as their Miracle Worker goes back on stock I would do an order. I've tried to find around me products that deliver the same results as the Naked lines and for the moment the results are far from being as good. An the prize is unbeatable, so I guess I have no option... =)

Now, let me ask you because I'm curious!

What hair products you swear by?
Do you keep the same hair routine or you switch all the time?
What's your current hair routine?
Tell me what works for you!
Do you care more about hair, skin or make-up?

My (NEW) two favourite blushes! H&M blushes review

I don't know if you've ever paid attention to H&M's make-up collection. To be honest, as the beauty addict and make up lover that I am, I would always look around and spend some quality time to go through their line but I have never really bought anything until recently.

And I have to say so far I'm loving what I bought and I am quite impressed quality wise.

Today I want to talk about this two gorgeous blushes that have become my favourite and the only thing I use lately.

12. Dazzling Peach and 17. Tawny Rose (price around 6 FCH)

Dazzling Peach is a lovely rosy-peach everyday color. It has little tiny sparkles that give a healthy fresh look to the skin. It's creamy in texture, pigmented but very blendable.

I think Tawny Rose is my favourite. I love this type of dusty-warm rose colors. I find this one in particular to be a very special color. The camera is not making justice to it. It has again little tiny golden sparkles but with a creamy almost metallic texture to it. It looks amazing on the cheeks. You have to be a bit careful with this one because it is very pigmented but still not hard to work with.

So there!
I hope I created in you the need to go right now to an H&M and buy one of these blushes!!
LOL
At least take a look at them and swatch them. If you love bargains, this one is worth the hype.

Love, Bea

How many lip products you can carry in your purse?

When I was in Prague almost a month ago I realize that for not carrying major items in my purse, it seemed a bit full and heavy...until I realize that without doing it in purpose I had brought with me all these lipsticks.

Elf lipstick in Nicely nude
Catrice ULTIMATE Lip Glow One shade fits all
Essence lipstick in Coralize me!
Maxfactor Xperience Sheer Gloss Balm in Coral
Catrice SOFT LIP COLOUR in Salsa Cubana
Labello in Classic Care
Maybelline COLORSENSATIONAL Cream Gloss in Pink Petal
Natural Collection Juicy Lipy in Fondant

The funny part is that I ended up wearing bare lips almost every day while I was there... =D

And you? What's your make-up product obsession?
Is there something you stock way too much when your traveling?
And in daily basis?

Ok!!

Madrid, normally means "shopping". So expect upcoming hauls posts!

Shoes and clothes would have to wait. All my shoes are already packed and I did pictures of the clothes already but for some reason the colors don't stay true in the pictures. I think it might be the background of my room because I've tried with natural light, artificial light, flash, no flash...

So as a start I would talk about beauty related products.

If you ever come to Spain, make sure you check supermarkets "Mercadona". Mercadona is an important chain of supermarkets that enhances the presence of their own brands, maintaining a minimum of external brands. Talking about beauty or toiletries type of products, the line you have to keep in mine is "Deliplús".

Delplús has a wide range of products that cover hair care, skin care, body care, make-up, accessories, perfumes...all with amazing economical prizes!!

Ask any Spanish girl if she likes something from Deliplús and probably she would list you quite a few things!

Normally I like to stock body and hair care products, but this time I decided to grab just some basic things I needed...

NAKED STYLE- How I style/take care of my hair

So...I've been asked what do I use to style my hair and this is what I bring you today!!

I was introduce to this brand by my lovely British friend Eleanor (I don't know if she will ever read this, LOL) so when I went to London back in June I decided to give it a look and gave the brand a try. I bought quite a few products using the 3x2 offer they had at Boots but for the moment I'm using only two that I've incorporated to my hair styling routine.

Monoi OIL!!

Hello!

I finally I got around to do this post. I discovered this product at the beginning of the summer and since then I can not leave without!!if you are familiar with Coconut Oil then you might find this product interesting.

Monoi Oil or Monoi de Tahití stands for "scented oil". The best known source of monoi today is that produced in Tahití (French Polynesia) made still at the traditional manner from pressed coconut oil macerated with the flowers of the native gardenia, known in locally as Tiaré.
Only

the coconuts from the cocos nucifera species
and the buds of the Gardenia Tahitensis
“Tiare” blossoms are used in the preparation
of Monoï de Tahiti. A m

inimum

of 10 flowers
are soaked for
at least 10 days
in one liter of
coconut oil. It's an amber colored oil liquid that solidifies below 25ºC.

Tahiti has always been part of the Polynesian culture,

whether in traditional rites, in remedies, or as a beauty care
ingredient for body and hair.
Several Components of Monoï de Tahiti are also used in the
traditional medicine of the Polynesian islands. The Tiare blossoms, for
example, are used to cure earaches, certain types of eczema, or simply to
prevent insect bites. Today, Tahitian women are still using Monoï de Tahiti as a
skin moisturizer, a hair protection, and as a daily care product. It's a veritable beauty
secret passed on from generation to generation.

Its status as a natural and unadulterated product was enormously enhanced when the French government fave it the official stamp of "Appellation d'Origine", as a guarantee of authenticity and quality, raising monoi to the level of wine.

It's innumerable properties have been tested and proven in vivo: Skin and eye tolerance, hypoallergenic and hypersensitivity properties, photosensatizing potential to protect the skin against the sun (improves your tan) and external aggressions. Protects, regenerates and enhances the quality of the hair fiber, progressive and long lasting skin moisturization. Tiaré tahití flowers present soothings and purifying active ingredients and mono oil has been proven to have emollient properties. With its delicate fragrance, mono oil is thought to nourish and stimulate your soul and senses.

In my case I use it as body moisturizer, all over body scent because it smells AMAZING, deep nourishing over night treatment for my hair, hair ends treatment between washes, massage oil, mix a tiny drop with my leave in/styling conditioner for more textured curls...

It's Coconut oil upgrade to the next level!!if you don´t like coconut oil smell, then you should give this one a try. The one I use it's from a brand called Corine de Farme, but I know there is another brand called Soleil des iles. Both of them have many different products for body and sun skin care. I believe also Yves Rocher has a monoi Oil line.

*(I haven´t used Coconut Oil since it is not easy to get in Europe, at leaast I haven´t found it, so I can´t say which one would be more effective...)

My favourite concealers!

Hello!

In today's post I'll talk about my two favourite concealers (both are from the drugstore!!!)

Probably you all know Bourjois Healthy Mix foundation. It's one of Bourjois best-selling foundations and I've heard so much raving about it that this one would be at the top of my list if I ever my skin decides to be towards the dry side of things. This winter I went to a "dry eye area" phase and not being brave enough to try the foundation, I thought this concealer could work well for me since it is moisturizing- good for my dry area problem- and oil-free anyways so it wouldn´t brake me out (none of the healthy mix foundations are oil free).

This is what they say:
Bourjois’ new Healthy Mix fruit-therapy correcting concealer smoothes away dark circles and imperfections for a visibly rested and radiant look.

    • Apricot > radiance
    • Raspberry > micro-circulation
    • Melon > hydration
Its exquisite glide-on formula blends onto the skin for a natural result, with no marks. Available in 3 natural anti-dull complexion shades, to reboost the complexion's radiance.
And...it's good for the skin: Moisturising, lets skin breathe, oil-free formula, dermatologically tested.
I have color 52 medium radiance. It's a neutral tone that covers and brightens the area very nicely. It doesn´t smudge on me and the staying powder it's pretty good, plus used on regular bases makes the skin under my eyes feel softer!!
My other favourite concealer is Maybelline Pure Cover Mineral concealer. I've been using this for years and I've gone through so many bottles of this and always come back for more. I've seen it being compared with MAC's Mineralize Concealer and even MAC's Moisture Cover (I have not try those so I can´t tell).
Maybelline Pure Cover Mineral Concealer brings the benefits of micro-minerals to a concealer. It uses a perfecting, beautifully blendable mineral enriched formula that produces a natural-looking result, as micro-mineral pigments blend with skin tone for a natural-looking finish, perfect to help cover under eye shadows. The lightweight formula helps cover imperfections rather than accentuate them, so the whole face has a gorgeous, healthy-looking finish.
I absolutely love this stuff. I have the color 02 Natural which is a bit pale for me but still something I can work with. I'm not quite sure if it is oil-free but I haven´t had any issues in that matter. It brights up my eye area without drying and covers flawlessly redness and acne. Multipurpose and easy to blend!! You can't go wrong with this.

Have you tried them? Let me know in the comments which one is your favourite concealer or one I should to try!!!
